The former UFC lightweight division #1 contender, TJ accumulated a professional Mixed Martial Arts record of 21 wins and 5 losses (8-3 in the UFC). While in the UFC, TJ also won two “Knockout of the Night” and one “Fight of the Night” performance bonuses. A former provincial wrestling champion, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu first degree black belt under Jake MacKenzie, and an expert in Muay Thai kickboxing with over 20 years of martial arts experience, TJ brings a high level of expertise and martial arts wisdom to his teaching. TJ is the head coach of the kids program, and teaches adult classes Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

A black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under TJ and Jake MacKenzie. Alex is a professional teacher by trade, has been training BJJ since 2012 and teaching it since 2014. With a background in physics and experience teaching university laboratory sessions and high school sciences, Alex puts an emphasis on teaching his students the underlying mechanical concepts behind the techniques of BJJ, in order to build a conceptual base of knowledge upon which they can draw. Alex is the head coach of the kids program, and teaches adult classes Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
A brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under TJ and Alex, Jacob is known for his creative guard and passing style. In his classes, Jacob focuses on building sequences from positions, as well as understanding the fundamental mechanics of the position. Train with Jacob on Friday evenings.
Dylan "The Candyman" Benjamin is an amateur Muay Thai kickboxer and MMA fighter, as well as an accomplished professional baker. His classes range from cerebral to strenuous, emphasizing all the important aspects of a good Thai fighter! Catch his classes on Wednesday and Friday evenings.
A dental technician on and off the mats, Piotr has been training Muay Thai since 2008 and has Level 1 Certification from the Thai Boxing Association of Canada. Piotr's class is on Monday evenings.
